Oct 07, 2017  Kahr P380: The other contenders are the P380 which can be had $350 give or take. I have a CW9 and the trigger on the P380 is going to be similar. It is a long trigger pull but it is much smoother than the LCP. My CW9 has been reliable but looking for peoples feedback on the P380. The Ruger LCP II: The LCP II is larger but not by much.

Apr 11, 2018  About five years ago I plunked down a small fortune to buy the fabulous Kahr P380 - being one of the few small .380's available here in California. From what I could find at the time, the Kahr was being praised from all directions, so I felt confident it would be as trouble-free has are most new pistols.

Don't see any wolff springs on their website for the P-380 but hoping I just missed them. I'd like to try a +strength recoil spring. Took my (new to me) p380 to the range this weekend and had a lot of failures where the slide would not return fully into battery (it would hang up about 1/8-1/4"). The gun supposedly had 300-400 rounds through it and I shot 100 more this weekend.

By up-sizing the P380/CW380, Kahr has created a handgun that is easier to grip, control, and shoot accurately without sacrificing concealability. This Value Line offering should appeal to anyone shopping for a reasonably priced concealed carry handgun with the features and performance of a compact handgun, but with less recoil.

My P380 is about 2.5 years old and still has the original recoil spring because I only have about 300 rounds through it. I have read on this forum that Kahr has made changes to the P380 recoil springs from the earlier released models, but read nothing concrete.

  • Kahr CW380 and CT9 both jamming no surprise anyone

Sep 01, 2017  I have a P380 that was a nightmare to break in, a used K9 that has been perfect. Brother in law has a CT9 that has been great. It's frustrating to get a new gun that won't run at all, but I wouldn't give up on them yet. If you aren't aware, kahr have tapered recoil springs that
